In this programme, you will explore the full project lifecycle, from defining a clear business case to closing and learning from completed projects. You will examine the environment in which projects operate, including organisational processes, success criteria and stakeholder expectations. You will learn how to build robust plans for scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risk and communication, while choosing between predictive, adaptive and hybrid approaches.

Programme Highlights

This programme develops your project management skills to plan, lead and deliver successful projects from initiation to closure. You will:

  • Understand the project environment: distinguish projects from operations, explore enterprise environmental factors and organisational process assets, and define clear success criteria for your initiatives.
  • Apply core planning tools and techniques: define scope, build a work breakdown structure, develop schedules and budgets, and plan for quality, resources, communication, procurement and stakeholder engagement.
  • Choose the right development approach: compare predictive, adaptive and hybrid approaches, and understand when to use agile concepts and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban to increase flexibility and value delivery.
  • Lead people and stakeholders effectively: strengthen your role as a project manager through servant leadership, effective communication, stakeholder analysis and engagement, and techniques for building high-performing teams.
  • Execute, monitor and close projects with discipline: manage project work, control changes, monitor risks, quality, cost and schedule, and close projects or phases in a structured way that supports organisational learning.
