Managerial Development Programme (MDP) With a Leading Retail Client in the Region

Overview

For more than ten years, Phi Management has collaborated with a Top Regional Retail Client to create and execute a tailored Managerial Development Programme (MDP) as part of their Leadership Development Academies.

This initiative equips first- to mid-level managers across the MENA region with essential managerial skills to enhance performance and standardise behaviours among shop managers. Delivered over 8 to 12 months, the 10-day programme fosters leadership talent, prepares managers for promotion, and aligns their capabilities with the client’s organisational goals. By strengthening the bond between back-office teams and shop operations, the MDP has become a cornerstone of the client’s talent strategy, driving sustainable growth and operational excellence.

The Execution

Phi Management has developed a bespoke Leadership Development Academy tailored to the client’s Management Competencies Framework and unique business challenges. The programme integrates experiential learning and gamification to deliver an interactive and impactful experience, combining diverse activities and exercises in each session.

Participants engage in hands-on learning to acquire critical skills in a collaborative and stimulating environment. A key feature of the programme is the tailored Capstone Project, which addresses specific challenges while fostering the practical application of learned concepts.

At the end of the programme, participants receive comprehensive individual reports summarising pre- and post-module scores, facilitator feedback, and performance insights from the Capstone Project. This structured and standardised approach ensures skill development while preparing managers to excel in their roles and drive organisational success.
