Leadership Assessment Centre

Overview

A Semi-Governmental Entity in Saudi Arabia collaborated with Phi Management to establish a customised Assessment & Development Centre. The project had two main streams: the first focused on assessing executives on leadership and technical competencies solely for their development. The second stream focused on assessing directors and managers on leadership and technical competencies for succession planning purposes; consequently, they were assessed on their readiness for the next level.

The Execution

Phi Management implemented a multiple assessment approach grounded in four leadership competencies: Thinks Strategically, Makes Sound Decisions, Develops Talent and Enables Change. Assessments included Competency-Based Interviews, Role Plays, Technical Interviews and the DiSC psychometric tool, which helped participants better understand their leadership styles.

The project was divided into two main streams. The first stream focused on Leadership Development, with assessments designed solely for growth. Through DiSC insights and structured feedback, executives gained an actionable understanding of their strengths and development areas.

The second stream targeted directors and managers, emphasising succession planning. This group was assessed on their target level and readiness for advancement, providing the client with objective insights into each participant’s potential for higher roles.

The Value

This human capability initiative is part of the client’s talent strategy to enhance their leadership pipeline and succession planning frameworks. The project pinpointed high-potential talent, developed leadership capabilities and ensured readiness for key roles. These outcomes also highlighted organisational learning development needs and have positioned the organisation for sustained success and adaptability in achieving its strategic objectives.
