Message from MD

During the long, hot Beirut summer of 2005, I began mulling over the idea of forming my own management consulting company, a business that would help other organizations to see a measurable impact on their performance and profits.

One day, still vivid in my memory, I was having lunch with a consultant who was visiting from the UK to help re-brand the company I was working for at the time. Whilst discussing the project, the subject of the 'golden number of Phi' came up, and how it was intrinsically related to the Fibonacci sequence. I was intrigued by the concept and the story behind it.

I soon discovered that Phi is so much more than an obscure term found in mathematics and physics. The number Phi can be seen in the architecture of many ancient creations, such as the Great Pyramids and the Parthenon. It appears around us in our daily lives, in art, in nature and even in our aesthetic views. I instantly knew that I had found my new company's name: 'Phi Management'.

Since its inception, Phi has grown rapidly. Every year we design and build new products, increase our portfolio, penetrate more markets and generate higher revenue and sales.

This success is driven by a creative and intuitive team; a group of carefully selected individuals with dynamic and diverse personalities and abilities, who all share Phi's vision and commitment to deliver a first class service to our customers.

Our customers are quite alike, they have something in common, they share with us common values and vision. Phi's challenges are like those of any organization that grows quickly: sustainability and the art of reengineering ourselves, our products and services.

I believe that the most critical value is the capacity of having both feet planted squarely on ground, the eyes glued to the  horizon and the mind  firmly focused on the technology of today and tomorrow.

An exercise I have made and asked people who work with us - "if Phi was a person, how would you describe him/her?" Interesting answers, not surprising but comforting, include adjectives such as, 'friendly', 'professional', 'efficient', 'creative', 'forward-thinking', etc.

These words are music to my ears because they perfectly sum up the company I envisaged all those years ago, on a hot summer's day in 2005…

Look forward to working together,
